THE SOLUTION: TECHNOLOGY: DYNAMIC SURFACES

LOW AIR LOSS SYSTEMS
A series of interconnected air filled chambers with a porous cover that air can pass through.

The aim of a low air loss system is to distribute pressure through the principle of immersion. The more the patient is immersed in the surface, the
more surface area there is for pressure distribution. The air flow, in combination with a moisture permeable cover, also works to prevent moisture
build-up which can lead to skin maceration.

ALTERNATING PRESSURE SYSTEMS
Multiple air - lled chambers in which the pressure distribution is changed periodically.

The aim of an alternating pressure system is to shift pressure from one section of the body to another at intervals, thereby ensuring that the circulation
to any one area is never interrupted long enough for tissue to become ischemic.

AIR-FLUIDIZED SYSTEMS -
Millions of silicone beads which are given fluid like characteristic by the pressurized warm air forced through them.

Air-fluidized systems work through the principle of immersion and transferring pressure to adjacent body parts. The aim is to equalize pressure
across the entire body surface. This technology offers the highest degree of immersion currently available, allowing two-thirds of the body to be
enveloped in the surface.
